Awana is first a proven method to reach young people and their families for Christ.  The weekly ministry gives children and youth an opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the gospel and learn from an exciting and challenging Bible-based curriculum.  Unique games ensure that kids have lots of fun - and keep coming back for more.

Awana is an international, Bible-centered ministry providing churches with weekly clubs and programs for pre-schoolers through fifth graders.  The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ  and train them to serve Him.  The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of the phrase, "approved workmen are not ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15).

Our Awana program offers a number of exciting clubs and programs, each geared to the needs of a particular age range.

Cubbies is the Awana Club for pre-schoolers during the two years prior to regular kindergarten, usually three- and four-year-olds.  Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process.  Cubbies uses the fundamental Awana elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks, and awards.

Sparks is the Awana Club for kindergartners, first-graders, and second-graders.  Each club meeting has three parts.  In Game Time, Sparkies enjoy entertaining games played on the Awana Game Circle.  During Green Meadow Time, Sparkies gather for their age-appropriate Bible lesson.  During Sparkle Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards.  Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears through the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.

Truth and Training Clubs provide additional opportunities for spiritual growth for 3rd - 6th graders.  The fun continues as kids are challenged each week to learn more about God!
